The area where the two Bluewater Bridges stand looked very different in the 1860's as seen in this view, probably taken from the top of the grain elevator, showing the once very important rail terminus. I can see at least 16 sets of tracks! From here car ferrys like the International would take the rail cars across the river. Attachments:
