Starting as the Sarnia Agricultural Implement Works in 1882, Goodison's was a major industry in Sarnia for close to 70 years. The original plant, shown here, occupied half of the block between Mitton and Mackenzie and Maria and Essex streets, facing on Mitton St. In the late 1930's the company moved to larger premises on Clifford St. and remained there until the company shut down it's Sarnia operations c1951. This building at 210 Essex street was the Goodison Company offices, and the last time I was there, still had the walk-in safe in the basement. Is currently up for sale. Attachments:

John Goodison was my Great Great Grandfather . I was born in Sarnia in 1951 . My mother was Margery ( nee Goodison ) Lorriman. I will be in the Sarnia area this August 2019. Other than the Lambton Heritage Museum, where can I find relics or history of my family history ? I also know that the original company office building is now a residence on Essex Street. My Grandmother lived in what is now a funeral home on George Street. Stuart Lorriman audiorep@ns.sympatico.ca Nova Scotia
