I have been studying Sarnia, ON history for more than 30 years. I'm now 'Retired' due to illness.

Erected by Mr. T.W. Nisbet as the Boys Brigade Hall in 1893-94, it was unofficially opened in June of 1894. The Boys Brigade was established to provide boys with healthy, positive outlets for their energy. Unfortunately, it soon succumbed to financial problems. The building was next utilized as an early movie theatre after which it became the Sarnia Armouries. It remained thus until it was torn down to make way for the new Sarnia City Hall in the early 1960's. Attachments:
