Looking for information on Errol Russell

Perhaps another thread to consider - why our public spaces are named what they are.  Like why is Canatara Park or Centennial Park, Germain Parks called what they are.

For my thread I'd like to learn more about who is Errol Russell?  The baseball park on Devine is named for him - but there is little known about who he is and why the park was named for him.
