Hand-coloured b + w photocard, ca. 1940. Built in 1903 as St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on the northwest corner of Devine and Emma Streets. Devine Street elevation is shown. The Sunday School Hall adjoining the church on the west side (left side of image) was built in 1916 and replaced the original Sunday School Hall. The "new" hall was opened on Jan. 21, 1917. The arched stained glass windows over the two entrance doors on the main tower had to be re-designed. Compare the image of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on this same board. The stained glass text originally stated, "St. Paul's Presbyterian Church". After Church Union in June, 1925 when the congregation joined The United Church of Canada, the glass text was changed to read, "St. Paul's United Church" as is evident in this image. Attachments:
