For years I have wondered about the history of the beautiful yellow brick 2 storey home in Manduamin...it is on the West side of Mandaumin road, just North of the CN rail line.
It still has the copper roof, but looks to be in very poor shape. Can anyone share information? thanks. Great site.

It is a beautiful building with lots of character. It was borded up a few years ago and recently the chimney collapsed.. It was reported online that a young man sadly took his own life in the building many years ago and that his presence was seen in the windows and people used to park and take pictures that is why the windows were covered over.

The property is kept up...i wonder if there is a plan to fix it up? Sad tale about the young man...never knew it was haunted.

I live around the corner from that house.I can see it from my backyard. The owner lives across the street in the Little white house. His sons live on each side and take care of the land around it. When the boys moved out it was to much upkeep for him.

My boyfriend and his friends have been telling this story for years about this haunted mandaumin farmhouse and I finally decided to see what info I could find online about it and this thread is the only thing I could find. He said about 10 years ago him and 3 other guys decided to check the house out because they heard it was haunted. They went in the middle of a bright sunny day and started exploring the grounds when suddenly this old man just came out of nowhere. They started asking him about the history of the house and why people come there and he said something like “I have no idea why people come here, house just isn’t worth fixin.” And he kept denying that it was haunted. They started looking around some more and my boyfriend turned around to ask the man one more question but he had just disappeared. He swears there was no where for him to have hidden and disappeared to that fast (he had only turned around for a couple seconds). The creepy thing was that all 4 of them said the man was all grey. Grey skin, grey plaid shirt with grey overalls and grey hat. He was even carrying a pitchfork.

This house will stay standing until it caves in on itself I bet. I'm so curious what it looks like inside. Although if it wasn't wrecked too bad before the chimney fell, if nobody covered up the hole, ever rainfall/snow there is water pouring into into it. If I ever won the lottery, in confront the owners. But it would take alot of money to fix that place. Out of all the abandoned stuff you see around here online I am shocked there isn't much about this gem.
