Original St. Joseph's Catholic church stood on the west side of Vidal St. south of Confederation St. After the present church was erected in 1928, this building was used by other denominations. Attachments:

This was built in 1890 as the Albert Street Presbyterian Church, a mission of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Christina Street. It was located at the southwest corner of the 4th Line of Sarnia Township (Confederation Street) and Vidal Street. Albert Street later disappeared off the map and that section became an extension of Vidal Street. In 1903, Albert Street Presbyterian Church built a new church (St. Paul's Presbyterian; after Church Union in 1925, St. Paul's United) on the northwest corner of Devine and Emma Streets in what was a fast-developing residential subdivision of the south ward. Albert Street Church was sold to the Roman Catholics sometime between 1903 and ca. 1920. This building was used until the new St. Joseph Church was built in 1928 on the southwest corner of Devine and Stuart Streets. The building pictured was demolished in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
